What Wine Are You Drinking? Spring/Summer 2013

    It's spring time!

Had a bottle last night of 2008 Concha y Toro Cabernet Sauvignon Marqués de Casa Concha. Not a bad bottle for $17 and change. But it probably needed to breathe for awhile longer before consuming.

K vintners The creator 2010. A bit young but a big bold cab/Syrah blend from one of my favorite new world wine makers Charles Smith.

Been working on a bottle of 2011 Arcturos Rose of Cab Franc with supper the last two nights. A good, good wine. Dry with just enough fruit.

Orin Swift Abstract for wife and I. A good big red blend but not worthy of the $$$. The F1 locations is better at 2/3 of the price.

F-1 is great, my favorite so far of all of Orin Swift's releases that I've had.

Agreed. Curious about the Italian I1 which is coming soon. I am sure it will be very good also.

I opened a lovely bottle of 2004 Chateau Montelena Cabernet tonight. An excellent vintage, it tastes more Bordeaux than Napa to me.
