Re: Renter Drinks 52 bottles of Pre-Prohibition Whiskey

Of course his defense is he was told to help himself and no one limited that to the kitchen.

His first post was not what is this bottle I found worth and should I drink it or sell it.

According to the news report, the caretaker was caught when his DNA was found in the saliva he left on three of the bottles. He really should have wiped the bottles down after he finished them....

One of the dangers of drinking too much . . .

If this has already been posted somewhere, I apologize, but if not, it is a "fun" read: http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories...E=DEFAULT.html

Since there was an auction house appraisal presumably some of this will find it's way onto the market.

I hope they only had it appraised in order to press charges and assess damage. One of the mansion employees in a news story said the whiskey will remain at the mansion. Let's hope that's the case and that it's treated as a piece of the family history.
