However, the place where I buy most of my stash does not do that. The EC12BP I bought last week was about $36.
AHH 16 (blue wax) for $970. I would love to get my hands on one of these for my collection but $970 is just outrageous. Even the store owner eluded to it being way over priced so he may just be holding it for street cred.
At least he priced it. A lottery winner could splurge on it. I find the 'Not for Sale' bottles often seen in liquor stores just stupid.
THH 12 @ $89. Only a slim markup, but my least favorite of the BTAC line.
PHC 2011 cognac finished at 79.99 a bottle. Have 2 on the shelf already.
Passed up a JPS18. Interestingly, I recently purchased the last bottle on the shelf from this store. A few days later, and there's another lone bottle up there. Has anyone else seen retailers do this? Seems kinda sneaky to me.
i see a michter's 20yr everyday at my local. not really a pass up because i know i'm not spending $500. and i run into a few woodford reserve master's (sweet mash and seasoned oak) at a decent price but pass on those also.
