I love the 18. If I found a stash I'd buy them all. You'll never pay $50 for 18yo bourbon again once they're gone. Although it's been a while since I've had one I'd take it over the 12 and the ECBP

Passed on several (at four or five at different places) EC18. Most in the 60-70 dollar range. Also passed up a decent amount of WT Rye 101 - think I have enough in the bunker.

Pass on some Basil Hayden with age statement. Not interesting to me but if you are I can tell you where. At least two bottles.

FYI, off topic, Louise XIII for $2099 before bargaining.

I still regret not buying a couple bottles or even one about six years ago when we were in Sitka. Even my wife told me to buy one. It was below $1000!!

It took another price increase recently. Do you know they sell 50mls (airplane bottles) of Louis xiii?

Co sign. If bourbon continues the way it is, we might not see many under 100 with an 18 year age statement.

It's been hot in ky over the past 5 or 6 years. Yields in aged stock are way down. And that heaven hill fire looms large since it was about 16 years ago.

That's correct. I was told this month it's going to go up again, from another place. I've seen some at $2750 already. This place only had the full bottle.

Shoppers Vineyard has the 50mL for $499.

Ok, I give. I went back. Picked up two of them.

By not doing so I would have broke buying rule number three. Don't hesitate, as it may not be there next time.

I just had to give the joint another look over in case I missed something else in my excitement.

Cant wait to go back next time.

Better safe now than regret later, even if it's available in the future the price can only go up.

Passed up some CEHT Small Batch for a decent price (at least, one I would pay). Is it any good? Also walked past some Jacob's Ghost. Somehow I restrained myself on that one.
Life's too short, and there's too much good whiskey within reach.
