    Hello from Philadelphia

    Hi all,

Having finally been able to get Comcast to let me back into my long-disused email, I'm very happy to be able to join the forum. I have been lurking for months now and have learned a ton, and I hope to be able to contribute back a bit as time goes on.

I am from Philadelphia and run a blog called Whiskey Obsessive (which I will try not to spam) and am pretty active on Reddit's r/bourbon. I have been collecting American whiskey semi-seriously for a few years now and have built up a bunker of the requisite BTAC, Four Roses and Van Winkles, as well as some older Hirsch ryes. As far as favorites go, I think I would trade any bourbon for some of the older Medley or CoK ryes, but I like it all.

    Looking forward to the discussion.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

    Hello from Philadelphia

Welcome from another Philadelphia area resident. A few of us local to you are getting together on the 20th to enjoy a few pours... I also share your affinity for the older CoK and Medley Ryes, a few have found homes in my bunker.

Sadly the 20th is spoken for, but I'd certainly like to see about a local tasting group at some point. Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome, Ryan. As the license plates used to read: "You've got a friend in Pennsylvania".
