    And Pete, The Spirits Blog by David Driscoll of K&L, though not independent, is a recommended and informative read. He is a self aware writer who has a way of weaving his stories with insightful thoughts, emotions and even moral dilemmas on spirits buying and drinking. Great trip photographs too.

    Yes, that's the K&L I meant, my local whiskey-monger. Great guys, only downside is the thirsty Bay Area cleans them out of some releases very quickly.

    And Uncle Buck, for better or worse the stores here don't do camp-out lines for VW, BTAC or anything else. The big camping event is Pliny the Younger up at Russian River Brewing.
