Nice one Trey... I'm curious how the old ones taste - I'll get to find out soon :-)

I was gifted the 1985 vintage 18 y.o. about 6 months ago - haven't opened it yet ... too many opened bottles. If you start posting notes, that might convince me to open 'er up ...

Been some good dusty hunting recently, also found myself a semi-dusty in a 2006 release Caol Ila Distillers Edition Moscatel Finish 13yr, a big 1liter bottle too! Might hold onto this one for the Christmas break with friends at the beach..."might"

Buchanan's 18. If I tasted this blind I'm confident I wouldn't have pegged it as a blend. It's a great example of that old Highland style (smoky, oily, etc) that Springbank and JW green aspire to.

Got a back-up bottle. Just the right amount of peat. And a cool wooden stand.

I picked up a Clynelish, figured I should celebrate Foreign Whisky of the Month.

Forgot to mention I purchased a bottle of Green Label a few days back. It is currently on closeout in PA. Waiting next month if they drop the price because they have so much inventory. I'll pick up a few bottles if that happnes.

I did the same today. It was a little more spendy than I had hoped around here. Was expecting it to be under $60 but no such luck (whisky prices seem to make little sense in this area).

Figured it would be worth comparing to the K&L/A.D. Rattray 16yo Clynelish I picked up a couple of weeks ago. Tried the 16yo but hopefully will get a chance to check them out side by side this weekend.
That yella whiskey runnin' down my throat like honey dew vine water and I took another slash…
