Re: Which Water of Life Did You Purchase Today - Spring/Summer/Fall 2013

This thread needs to get back to some sort of decorum and dignity. In that attempt, and to stay on topic, I picked up my first bottle of Balvenie DoubleWood today from my local whiskey monger.

Sipping it now, and wow is this tasty whiskey. It is indeed extraordinarily delicious. Sweet, luscious, and what a great finish. I'll need to be careful with this one, as I better not have too much, lest the chances for double wood drop significantly later on...

    Welcome to the thread.

Once you move on to the Auchentoshan Triple Wood, this is going straight to NC-17.

Balvenie is an approachable malt for sure... I need to pick up a 12yr DW & a 15yr SB one of these days. The 15yr SB Christian brought to our last get together was outstanding.

Johnny's bunker is the first major tourist site I would like to see in Seattle! Question is, what the heck did you have to give up to get this beauty?

I'd like to visit Johnny's bunker too. Come to think of it, I'm geographically central.

I love the Balvenie 15 SB. I can get it for $62+tax on a regular basis here. If it was $10 cheaper, I'd probably be going through it faster than anything.

C'mon up B! In all honesty, my bunker is somewhat middling in comparison to some of the PacNW bunkers I know of... (yeah, you know who you are)

We should coordinate another Seattle SB get together when you gents visit.

Sometimes I wish my work had me out traveling more... The closest work related site out there is in Chicago though.

Ok, here's one to keep this thread pants-optional:
