Re: Which Water of Life Did You Purchase Today - Spring 2013 ...

With the cash I had earmarked for potential PVW/BTAC purchases going unused, I was prepared to snag a 1401/9 as soon as it hit the shelf.

Unfortunately this purchase coincided with recovering from a surgery I had on Monday, so I have to stare at the bottle until I can wean myself off this bottle of Percoset.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, maybe replace Percocet with whiskey? I am not a doctor or pharmacist but did once stay at a holiday inn express once..

I'm about done with purchase for the year but I have some stragglers inbound - here's what Brown Santa delivered today:

    Karuizawa Asama Selected Vintages 1999 / 2000 - 50.5%

Not up to the standards of some of the bottles here but was filling a box for an order and threw in some Mackmyra 1st Edition Swedish whisky (a liter to boot) just for fun.

A bit young and grainy but soft enough to be interesting and drinkable.

Also picked up a McKenzie Rye. Really wanted to add some other McKenzie products but that was all they had available.
That yella whiskey runnin' down my throat like honey dew vine water and I took another slash…

Re: Which Water of Life Did You Purchase Today - Spring/Summer/Fall 2013

Thanks again to some pointers from an SBer, I picked up these tonight. The three pack is really so I can try the Caol Ila and have a bottle of Lag on hand. I also found some fun minis like Bushmills Black Bush, 10 year single malt, Talisker 10 old bottle (with the large 10 over the writing on the right), and famous grouse 12.
