    Hi from Rockville, MD

I've been a big fan of bourbon since my buddy at my previous job got me hooked. We started doing mini tastings at work on Fridays... some fun times.

I'm not new to bourbon at this point but I still consider myself a novice compared to the folks on this forum.

Some of my favorites: GTS (amazing), PVW20, RHF, EC12, LotB, and Old Weller 107 (my current go-to drink)

Currently in my cabinet: Blanton's, Old Weller 107, Four Roses Small Batch, Bernheim, LotB (off the top of my head)

Looking forward to continuing my education here and contributing!

Welcome, TribeDoc! Have FUN! That's what it's all about. ... And, to correct your assumption that we're all some sort of experts: NOT! I certainly am not an expert (on anything, least of all bourbon); but boy do I enjoy tasting the stuff and learning more about it... which you certainly can do on this forum. Don't get me wrong; a great many of the folks who post on SB are indeed worthy of the title; "expert", just not all of us, so join in whenever and however you wish and, again; Have FUN!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Bortrager - nice to meet you neighbor!

Richnimrod - thanks for making me feel less intimidated.

Bourbon just "gels" with me. Love it. I know what i like and what i find less desirable.

The one thing that I'd like to be able do better is to be able to verbalized why I like what I like and be able to describe the flavor. Perhaps with time and LOTS of practice.

Welcome!!! I'm from Bethesda, so we are neighbors! I hope we will have a critical mass here at some point to have a DC area get together.
