I'm enjoying a comparison between two Four Roses private selection single barrels, OBSQ and OESQ, one a group purchase and the other from a local store. Same age, selected the same month from the north side of the same warehouse. Both wonderful but with not-so-subtle differences. Tonight I'm favoring the lower rye recipe, which has a silky mouth-feel and buttery flavors. It seems to let the effect of the yeast show through more than the B recipe. Tomorrow might be different. Something to look forward to while I'm sitting at my desk preparing for an operations audit.
