Yessir. Sounds damn near perfect. Enjoy!

I've moved on to a 4R Single Barrel over a couple of cubes, and thinking I need to head out back to the patio. Better for a nappy back there.

Typically, only drink on the weekends, so finishing off this weekend albeit lightly with a few smaller pours in my Buffalo Trace tasting glass. A little Blanton's followed by FRSB. Both, neat of course! Just wanting a taste and to savor the flavor.

Bulleit 10 yr - haven't had this in awhile and the air has really rounded off a sharp edge or two. Much more body mid-palate.

Are there any discernable Four Roses notes in that whiskey, sutton? I've never been the hugest Bulleit fan but I really like Four Roses so I'm wondering if I'd like the Bulleit 10. I haven't heard the greatest things, nice to see a little airtime is bringing it together.

Cool. How does it compare to the private selections that you've had? Compared to the current standard bottles it's definitely darker and richer.
I've never tried GTS with any sort of soda. Maybe I'm missing out; but I'm OK with that.

I'm no expert on Four Roses' recipes and which one this supposedly would be. The regular Bulleit bottling I had a couple of years ago, although I did like it, I found it a bit thin. The 10 year is certainly richer, lots of dried fruit, an orange note that reminds me of OGD for some reason, and an assertive spice presence that seems to ping pong between rye grain and barrel in origin; it is very well integrated with a nice finish that isn't overly dry.

The question is price - at $47-$50, you can get your pick of the Four Roses' recipes from TPS and I have been looking those over. I actually bought this Bulleit bottle on impulse as it seemed like a quick way for me to get my hands on a 10-yr to try. To me, it is a big improvement over the standard Bulleit.
