They say some of my stars drink whiskey, but I have found that ones who drink milkshakes don't win many ball games-Casey Stengel
And it was a very good year.
Seems like Canadians from the 70s are out there. I found this time capsule from 1977 on a recent excursion. I've had significantly better luck here in New England with Foreign whisky than with Bourbons on my dusty, or pseudo-dusty hunting excursions given how picked over this region is. (the Canadians were very helpful in putting those export tax stamps with a year on them). WP_20130629_001.jpg
That's good for you local fellas, other fans of the Canadian style (I'm one) around the Country are less fortunate.
Bet the price was right as well.
Not sure if this is "good" Canadian whiskey, but this has been sitting in a local liquor store, still in the box, tax-stamp sealed. Believe it is from 1979 (and they're looking for $100 for it). If anyone is curious, I'd be happy to pass along the info via a PM.

It is 'grade level' Canadian, even as a dusty. Cool duck though.
That yella whiskey runnin' down my throat like honey dew vine water and I took another slash…
