Passed up innumerable sourced whiskeys today. It's difficult to keep track of what's what anymore.
Passed up a Hirsch 25 year rye ($219).

That's why I stick to rye, Tucker. I really only have to keep track of 2 sources (Canada and Indiana) and I already know what they taste like without ever having to open the bottle.
Old and high priced only means it's old and high priced.
And if it's that good, being sourced, why did the distillery sell it in the first place instead of bottling it themselves.
I picture a meeting at the distillery where someone asks 'so what are we gonna do with these barrels of crappy old woody whisky'.
