hard call, on the bourbon side probably EWBiB, but overall my favorite BiB would have to be Rittenhouse, just love that musty minty character combined with the sweetness from it being a "barely legal" rye. To my taste drinks beautifully neat.

I'm a huge fan of the ND OGD BIB. I only have a couple bottles but I cherish them dearly - its got more of the caramel in the ND OGD 86 with very little added bite. But enough reminiscing about dinosaurs...

As for current BIBs, I'd have to go with the VOB BIB. Tasty and cheap. What more do you need?

I don't think I could pick a definitive favorite, so I'll list my top selections:

    Old Grand Dad
    Rittenhouse Rye
    Old Heaven Hill gold label
    Very Old Barton
If you have anything Michter's or Pennco and would like to sell it or share it with me, please let me know.

    Barton BIB.

It's cheap and it's good. Simple as that.

Re: What's your favorite BIB and why?

FYI. If you are thinking about trying the Henry McKenna 10 year old single barrel BIB, Heaven Hill just announced a new/updated packaging for the product, along with what looks like a slight price increase ($29.99 for a 750ml bottle). I've been able to find the current bottling at the regular price of $26.99, and infrequently as low as $22.99 on sale. The juice is still 10 years old, so it will be a better deal to buy now, rather than later.
