Not sure, but someone told me water was 0 proof and doesn't even use any corn in its mashbill.

I cannot shake the thought of how hard those still men work to get the water out of the whisky.

0 proof is better than 80, in my book.....free water, or $10 wasted on something i wouldnt enjoy anyway

What were the choices? Have you had them all? Bar prices are what they are and I can understand the hesitation to pay that price, but it might end up being worth it to find something you love.

My preference is for higher proof, too... But there are some great bourbons at 90, or even 86 proof. You're ruling out a lot of bottles that might really speak to you without even tasting them.

On topic, what do you think of Old Fitzgerald BIB? Back off topic (but at least higher proof,) Weller 107?

Re: What's your favorite BIB and why?

ive not had OFBIB or Weller 107. from what i understand, theyre both wheaters, and end up low on my must-try list.

the bar is mostly an irish pub, so they have a shitload of beer selection (i really dont like beer) which is why my friends go there every sunday. the bourbon selection was the normals......JBB, JBW, makers, JD, AE, KC, etc....the only thing they had that i like is KC120, but i have a load of that at home. at bars, i usually limit myself to things i am curious to try, or something that i really like but usually dont keep at home due to price (bookers).

Since you haven't tried these two I'm guessing you haven't tried any wheaters that meet your minimum proof specification. What are you judging wheaters on? Maker's Mark?

Yeah... Try some Weller 107, meets your criteria for proof and value. Those three that you've tried won't tell you what OWA is about.

+1 on this advice. Try some Weller 107 if you haven't already.
