5 I always have would be:

    Weller 107
    ETL
    VOB Bib
    FR1B
    WT 101

Gives me some nice variety. I noticed I usually have at least 4 bottles of each, but having major problems keeping the ETL stocked. I'm down to four and haven't seen any in quite a while around here.

a friend and I were talking about this at KBF. his favorite bourbon is ETL, and he said he heard rumors of its demise now that ETLee has passed. any truth to this? I assume its just gossip, as its a pretty popular mid shelfer here

Elmer selected the barrels for ETL. I haven't heard anything credible one way or the other, but at the very least, they'll be selected by Harlen/whoever else in the future.

Demand may increase (and price would follow suit) due to his passing, but the brand will live on (both as a memorial to his contribution to the distillery and to the fact that it's been around roughly 14-15 years and has plenty of name recognition). As you know, I'm a fan of the ETL.

We were at BT last Friday and they were dumping barrels of ETL in the bottling room so it's still a go. In fact I am sure I read somewhere an email reply from BT saying they fully intended to keep the brand going.

I sure as hell hope so!

    1. Woodford Reserve (seems to stay as my "go to" choice).
    2. Maker's Mark (I enjoy wheated and this is usually available everywhere).
    3. Blanton's (although usually slightly more than $50, but just the nose is worth the money).
    4. Buffalo Trace (seems to always be enjoyable no matter my mood or circumstance).
    5. Jim Beam Black (don't ask me why but I just seem to often pick this one out of any lineup of bottles).

    Willet Rye 4yr
    Old Forester Birthday Bourbon
    W.L. Weller 12yr

Those are pretty much my normal rotation.
