What makes you stop in a unknown liquor store?

I was just reading the post: What's Your Luckiest/Best Liquor Store Find?

Then it got me thinking. In your area, what would make you stop at a liquor store? When traveling, what would make you stop?

I was on a major road in Port Jefferson. I saw this little hole in the wall store. Nobody was in it. I was tempted to stop, but was running late.
I just was wondering about clues that may turn a rountine search golden.

When hunting for dusty bottles you just never know. Out of the way places to heavily traveled stores are neither good nor bad. I've has success and failure in both, unfortunately mostly failures.

I can honestly say I stop because it's there.

I'm with squire. If it's there, I'm probably stopping.*

*Standard Disclaimer: Provided I'm not running an errand for the wife and she is expecting said errand to be completed in a certain amount of time.

If I'm by myself and I have the time, I stop. Doesn't really matter where it is or what it looks like. If I'm with my wife, negotiation may be involved. I occasionally travel around the state for work, and have been known to google locations of liquor stores before going somewhere.

That said, the majority of time I walk out without making a purchase.

Pretty much what he said. I will stop 99 times out of a 100 if by myself.
