    Longtime lurker

Been a longtime lurker and decided to contribute. Live in Houston, TX area. Enjoy bourbon, motorcycles, college football and cigars. I have gained a lot of knowledge reading the forums the past few years. I have my first trip to KY for a bourbon trail visit the first weekend of October.

Welcome to the board alr3111. Glad to have you join the contributors. I look forward to your posts.
You'll have a great time on the Bourbon Trail, I'm sure. Don't miss the gift shop at Four Roses, it's got some wonderful stuff.
If you get over to Frankfort; Buffalo Trace does an excellent tour.

Welcome as well from another Michigan guy. I enjoy many of those same things.

    Re: Longtime lurker

Thanks for the welcome replies. As far as bourbons I enjoy it varies. I enjoy trying them all. The thing i dont particulary care for is overly oaked/woody espressions. As far as the trip to Kentucky, we will be heading east to BT & 4R one day and south to HH, Makers Williett the other. I have reserved the hardhat tour at BT but did not see where the others did any special tours on weekends. I am espically looking forward to the 4R gift shop. I missed the SBLE in houston this year but did get a private selection that i enjoyed.

Welcome! BT and 4R are both great stops. If you get a chance go to Makers Mark.
