Re: Knob Creek Changes From Cork To Screw Cap

I too am a big fan of screw tops. Wouldn't kill me to see screw tops on my KC.
If you have anything Michter's or Pennco and would like to sell it or share it with me, please let me know.

Ok, if it's for Joe, they get a pass

I just dread the thought of losing any more of my premium juice to the angles (I mean - c'mon - they got their fair share the first time around!)

I know, I know - there is something to be said for the noise that cork makes when pulled from the bottle. I'm all game for a compromise - everything between $20-$30 gets corked, and the rest get screwed (or . . . capped? Ok - both of those don't work in this context ) The bottles I'm going to have open for a long time - I'd prefer a screwcap to save me from otherwise having to wrap the tops (waiting for my parafin film at Christmas!)

Not all screw caps are equal, either. I abhor the Jim Beam metal screw caps - they dent easily and can fail to seal.

I"ve had several corks break; I'd prefer to screw(cap).
