Its not necessarily the rye flavor - I love spice - but I am not too keen on the cola, minty, licorice flavors. I still enjoy them from time to time but I find FRSB to much more rounded in that respect. Bulleit and FRSmB smells like flat cola to me.

I have not. But the kind people that work at Market Square have recommended it to me, so it is on my 'to do' list.

Knob Creek is on my short list. And I am not throwing out any recommendations. One that I've tried that I've gotten many recommendations for is Old Granddad 114. And I have to say that I did not enjoy my first attempt. Possibly because it's the highest proof I've had to date and I'm just not ready for it. My taste buds couldn't seem to get past the alcohol burn.

HOWever, I am not a quitter! I have kept it in the rotation and will be giving it another serious try over the weekend.

I too find OGD114 a bit hot, but my biggest issue with OGD is, like Bulleit, it has those cola, root beer, licorice flavors. It acts much like a rye whiskey does.

I like OGD100 instead. Just a nice spicy kick in the teeth. Not as flavorful as 114, though.

To me, Bulleit has a strong flavor of cinnamon red hots. Love it. Loved it almost too much the last time I had some.

Well, if you like red hots...you need to try OWA.
I've never tried GTS with any sort of soda. Maybe I'm missing out; but I'm OK with that.

I think I do like red hots. So far those seem to be my favorites - the ones with a taste of red hots and/or anything cinnamon. I also seem to like toasted sugar, and caramel/buttery.

Actually, to be honest, I think I've liked every single Bourbon I have tried (I think I'll come around to OGD 114). And I will definitely put OWA on the list. This past two weeks my new Bourbons have been the OGD 114 and Maker's 46. I really liked the M46. Now I also went a bit afield and tried some Irish whiskey - Bushmills [Black Bush] - but I found it to be disappointingly bland. Heard some good things about it, but I'm not likely to make it a liquor cabinet staple.

You pretty much described OWA. The standard bottling should do, but you should also have access to some nice private barrels of OWA at that Tallahassee store.
