Revisiting Balvenie TUN 1401 Batches 6 & 9 tonight - while I find the 6 to be better, the 9 is closing the gap.

3 finger pour of Lag 16 last night. Never disappoints. Just chalked full of yummy goodness.

Had a couple of pours of Ardbeg 10 yesterday evening while grilling a beef tenderloin and puffing on an Arturo Fuente Short Story. It's finally cool enough in the late afternoon to sip whiskey outdoors. Middle of the day still requires cold beer.

    That's a really cool bottle.

I dipped into my new bottles last night with the K&L Signatory 1997 Laphroaig 16 had all the Laphroaig goodness you could want and at cask strength. super good.

Also tasted the 1979 32yr blended at I think 53.7%. Really subtle nose and entry then pow dried stone fruit for days.

Ah, I see after posting in the other thread that you've tasted it as well...and thought similar things. Amazing finish for $100 and 32 years in the barrel.
