This SB 10 is living up to its billing. I picked up the briny/sea notes in the nose and finish. Very nice all around and the finish is very satisfying.

Had a mini tasting with my wife going through quite the range.

    Shieldag Highland
    Caol Ila 12
    Lag 16
    Glenmorangie Elanta
    Glendronach 17 PX ('94)
    Caperdonich 17
    Red Breast 12 CS

All pours were only about a sip or two but we just felt like trying a bunch. She really enjoyed the Lag and I even found it good, which is surprising given my general dislike of heavily peated malts. Now I just have to decide which one to have a "real" pour of later tonight...

It's a little early but hey, I don't have to work. Having a wee nip of Ealanta.

Working and with the kids today. I'll look forward to my time tonight with some football and a wee dram of something nice.

Enjoyed some 'big' Irish tonight. PJL, and then RB CS. They are both terrific, but I still think I prefer the RB CS. Its flavor is slightly more in my wheelhouse.

Had a friend over today for a tasting. He brought a Fiddich 21. We went with very small pours, with a good bit of nosing. I took him for a ride he'd not been on before.
    Laddie 10
    Scapa 16
    Lagavulin 16
    Ardbeg Uigeadail
    Talisker 25
    Laphroaig CS

We spent around an hour tasting and talking, had a great time.

Festivities with the larger family today were enjoyed with a nice dram of Glenrothes. After the feasting, there was a brief, but quite nice, interruption by some WLW '12. Upon arrival back home, wife & meself broke into the Glenmorangie Pioneer gift pack of 4 while wrapping gifts. Plan to finish the night shortly with some Talisker DE that just arrived yesterday via UPS.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL & TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!!!!
