Revisiting my sample of Redbreast 12 CS - it's pretty good but I'm not blown away yet... But I may have to pick up a bottle to do more research

Rosebank w/ some peat sounds like it'd be the cat's meow!

    Closing out the night with a small pour from a sample of K&L Glenronach 1993 / 19yr - #490, 54.7% (thx again!)

I like that one too. They just do sherry right.

Good to know K&L chooses them right, I still have not opened the '95 18 YO K&L GD bottle yet but am looking forward to it.

CW, hit me up if you want to sample more RB 12 CS before buying a bottle. I just can't get into it myself, my bottle, which has been opened a month, only has a few very small pours out of it.

Balvenie 15 SB. I love it every time. I'm glad that I can find it for a reasonable price around here.

Last night was a Glenlivet 15 French Oak that I finally picked up. Well balanced indeed.

Tonight I was offered something where I work, so I chose a Scott's Selection Longmorn-Glenlivet 1971, bottled 2004, 53.5%. Oldest whiskey I've tried, and it was nice but didn't blow me away. Had a distinctive minty note to it.

Back home, finishing with a wee pour of Glenfiddich 12 from a mini.

BTW, which batch RB CS are you guys trying? The one I just picked up is Batch No. B1/13 59.9%. I think there were two batches before this one correct?

Got the PJL and TD Phoenix too, but haven't opened them yet.

Not sure how many batches there have been. I bought several when it first came out and they were all B1/11 57.7%. It is the same one many internet sellers still seem to use on their website (K&L appears to have the B1/12). The B1/12, which is on the Whisky Exchange website at 58.6%, would be second and appeared to start showing up in late 2012 and yours is third.

Had a few fingers of Oban 14 last night before finishing the night off with some THH.
