Old parchment label Glendronach 15 year old (100% Sherry) from the early 90s. For being 80pf its really good (and flavorful). It definitely has the Dronach skeleton with a strong raisin-y/stewed fruits/baking spice profile. The nose is real grape-y. A great pour if you're looking for something a little milder on the palate but still flavorful.

I don't think I've ever had a bad Dronach. How is Macallan still in business?

Scott's Selection Highland Park 1986. Really interesting due to the low ex sherry content (if any). I'd compare it to something in between Balvenie 15 and Talisker 18 but with no peppery notes to speak of. Really solid IB. A great way to celebrate exceptional news.

Thanks. I know it's kind of an odd way to describe this, but it's really tasty. Very different from HP's typical offerings.

Glenfiddich 15 DE 51%abv non-chillfiltered, followed by Nikka Taketsuru 12yr pure malt. Both great pours.

I need to try and kill of some bottles from my early whisky buying days. I can't justify opening new bottles when I have so many crappy ones open. Right now, it's Tamdhu 10. It's not bad, it's just not great either. A satisfying little dram with malty flavor that goes down easy.

My local had that for $39 + 15% off in November. I wish I had bought more of it then.

Irish night. Green Spot (700ml from Ireland) mad Powers John Lane. Both really really good Irish whiskeys. The powers is something very special though.
