    A couple pours of ECBP137 to finish the night after sharing a bottle of Spanish Grenache with a friend. One more pour left in this bottle of ECBP137. I'll probably get that tomorrow.

    One pour of KC120 followed by 2 pours of ECBP 134, the ECBP just blew the KC out of the water in my opinion. Both sipped neat, going to try a little water another night.

    Yes, the 12yo Glenmorangie Port Wood Finish is a dusty now, though the Quinta Ruban that replaced it is close (and is itself a great whiskey), but the flavors are subtly different. Even though NAS, the Quinta Ruban is supposed to be 12 yo, and has a bit more ABV and is non-chill-filtered.

    In unrelated news, on Thursday night while out with friends, I had a fantastic Quebecois cocktail: Close to 2 oz. Sazerac Rye, 1/2 oz. Dolin Dry Vermouth, 1/2 oz. Punt e Mes, 1/2 oz. Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, and some orange zest that the bartender lit on fire. It was just heavenly.

    I agree with your sentiments with regards to the comparisons of ECBP and KC120. For my taste, there's no comparison....the ECBP definitely the preferred one.

    between a cold/allergies, a benadryl, sleep deprivation, working all night, and the final 2oz of Fighting Cock when i came home and unwound.....i cant recall how i got to bed last night. my second cold/allergy issue in a month, dammit!

    I've tried a little BT in my morning coffee, but wasn't a huge fan. Maybe a switch to Barton will fix that.
