I really like Booker's but I have to be in the mood for it. Some nights its fantastic, some it's all alcohol burn. I actually find that's true with all Beam products, at least the mood part not necessarily the burn part. Baker's is the exception, that is almost always good.

Some Liquor Barn FR OESF. I know the F yeast doesn't get much love, and it's hit or miss for me too, but tonight it's great.

That's the one yeast I have yet to secure. I think you're right, it doesn't seem to get much love...hardly any private bottles that I've encountered. All in all though, like everything else 4R bottles I'm sure it is in a class by itself.

That it is. I have yet to find any FR product I don't love. I haven't had the O or Q yeasts yet, but the GS OBSK is really good, the LE SB '12 OESK is great, all OBSV's have been good, especially the 17 year GS bottle. I just can't get enough of Four Roses. Binny's is supposed to have all 10 in stock in the next few weeks and I definitely plan on making a big FR order.

Really enjoying some PHC PoH at the moment. Definitely pricey for what it is, but love the fact a portion supports a good cause.

I have had several PS OBSF picks over the last year that have been fantastic,I think it is misunderstood and disregarded in many ways. With the right pick it can be a truly incredible profile that is both unique and rewarding.

Poured out the last of the EWSB in a glass and thought it just needed a bit more for a pour. So I splashed in a little ECBP.

Resulting mix had a lovely shade of dark, dark copper brown, and drank quite well for the rest of the night.

At the deer lease last weekend, some of the guys brought some:

Ancient Age I will NEVER drink this again!
Elmer T. Lee This was enjoyable.
Eagle Rare 10yr I have had this before and enjoyed it.

    I brought some Weller 12yr.

Starting out with some ER17 2012. Contemplating a blind SBS of 5 or 7 FR1B barrel proof private selections (all different recipes). Go big or go home right?
