Thoughts on the barrel proof 134 and the Rye?

Buffalo Trace. The bourbon is the same recipe as Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, Stagg, Benchmark, etc. The rye is a different recipe from Sazerac Rye, I don't recall the difference off hand but do a search and it should come up.

To answer the question, I haven't had the CHT barrel proof, but I have had the rye and I like it. Expensive for what it is, but tasty.

Barrel proof was my least favorite of the EH Taylor line. I preferred the single barrel, sour mash, tornado in that order

    Sour mash/tornado?
He's got a small batch and a rye, besides the 134 Barrel Proof and the single barrel.

I have had the single barrel and I like it so much that I went back to get several more bottles. My bottle of the single barrel didn't last long.

Edit: I thought I would link a review with tasting notes that I felt are pretty close to what I experienced.

I agree but not necessarily in that order

CEHTBP is one of the few bourbons I've had that improved with a cube of ice. Give it a try.

Liked the rye and the single barrel. Haven't opened the tornado yet. Kinda pricey, tho. Didn't pop for a barrel proof.

Nope. Tornado is tornado. Small batch is small batch or SMB
