Harlan Wheatley: A week in his shoes

Linked below is a running diary of a week in the life of BT's Master Distiller. Hopefully of interest to SB. Mods if this should be in Industry News or elsewhere feel free to do your thing.

I would have to say it is easier to run a large distillery than it is a small one.

Nice to see he does a lot of "go see" rather than just asking for reports/e-mails from the various areas.

Am I a bad person? All I could think of after reading that is the scene from Office Space were Peter is interviewed by the Bobs about his typical work day. Ha!

I'm just guessing that KBF week is a bit of an outlier with that many social functions all back to back.

Does make you wonder who does all the "go see" when he's on the road?

When on the road they can do a lot of their job from a laptop even monitor the still, other equipment and functions of the distillery.
