Wines aren't my forte but enjoyed this one last night while out to dinner.

Nice citrus fruit component and dry but still a hint of sweetness which I tend to like.
That yella whiskey runnin' down my throat like honey dew vine water and I took another slash…

2012 Vina Cobos Felino (by Paul Hobbs) Cabernet Sauvignon. A damn good Cab for under $20.

The wife and I cracked open a bottle of 2010 Pessac Leognan from Haut Bergey and killed it pretty quickly. Really great stuff. Its a $40 bottle, but I think its pretty reasonable at that price.

Red or white? That area of Bordeaux has some excellent (and rare) white wines.

Red blend. Very thick and mineral(y) - not too sweet. I've been really getting into the Franc wine lately.

2010 Bogle Phantom. A consistently good blend, year after year.

    Agreed. Very good every year.

Wife and I are going to enjoy a Russell Family Vineyards Paso Robles 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon tonight. Only 92 cases produced.

we had this last night. half bottle, so we each had a big glass. a little pricey, but an EXCELLENT Napa Cab and always good/reliable.
Now that they've returned to the Inglenook name, hope they continue to make it. Rubicon/Inglenook is owned by Francis Ford Coppola.
Previously known as Niebaum-Coppola (winery was originally Inglenook Winery founded by Finnish Sea Captain Gustave Niebaum per Wikipedia), then Rubicon in 2006, Coppola acquired the Inglenook name in 2011 and once again (re)named the winery Inglenook.
the winery is in Rutherford, right on Hwy 29. Great place to visit. Good visitor center and tasting room.

note the "NC" in the diamond at the bottom
