    Oh heck yes ... (link)

Not that we weren't very much aware of this already, it is still nice to know the English are coming around.

Yes, yes, I want our Native Spirit to receive the World wide recognition it deserves though while my loyalty is unrestrained my enthusiasm is dimmed by the prospect of more demand/higher prices.

We all knew this already. I don't need Jim Murray pointing out the obvious to others.

I guess I was thinking along the lines of Squire. Stuff that is hard to get now will be even more difficult and prices will continue to climb.

    Best regards, Tony

I'm glad that bourbon is getting it's well deserved recognition worldwide but c'mon really?! It's Jim Murray we're talking about here.

If the Asian nations ever get the notion the best whisky in the World is made in America we will see significant price hikes that may be permanent.

It's only a matter of time Squire. Some savvy marketing and poof, it'll reach "XO" status quickly. Plus, the bourbon profile is very easy to bond to - heck, anything tastes good after MaoTai/BaiJu.

I expect the real barrier has been cultural bias. Even in our own Country people who don't drink 'know' the best whisky comes from Scotland and 'only Rednecks' drink Bourbon.

True but unfortunately that is one bias that is quick and easy to overcome.
