Still new to the sipping art here, buy my biggest personal bourbon disappointment of the year was also...Devils Cut. I ended the bottle thinking at best it was an ok mixer, neat it was almost unpalatable.
Can't say that I was disappointed with anything I bought or tried this past year. I think the big boys are putting out some good stuff overall. Of course, I was a little disappointed not to get any WLW or FRLE this year but that's the market we're in now and they'll be back next year, anyway. I'm in agreement with others here that the loss of age statements and some treasured labels is disappointing, but it's hard to get too choked up when there's so much good stuff readily available on the shelf. Just stay in touch with the good folks here, steer clear of the NDP stuff, and you'll be fine.

Stagg Jr - I wanted it to be so much better than it was. Hoping time will help it. Also disappointed that the world has discovered Bourbon. I don't like paying significantly more for lesser quality bourbon.
Finally opened up my bottle of Colonel EH Taylor Tornado Survivor and I can't stand it. You win some you lose some I guess.
Disappointed that at a local liquor store BTAC/Pappy "random" drawing more than one person put their name in the box more than 1 time…and got drawn. Mob rules though…they didn't get a second bottle. Appreciated the guy that got drawn and said that his wife had been drawn previously and passed on a second bottle.
Disappointed that social media has turned the "car shot" into a thing.
Only product I can speak ill of is the Crown Royal Maple....it's been 8+ months and if I close my eyes I can still taste the spoiled Aunt Jemimah profile.
Yeah, that was bad. Maybe good as a reduction on pancakes?
