Re: VOB BiB dropped age statement

Wow I don't check this forum for awhile and this happens! Thanks to this thread I grabbed some VOB 86 6 YO where I knew it was available. Until now I've only had a handle of VOB BiB 6 YO I got on my bourbon trail trip last spring. I do have a bottle of 1792 Ridgemont Reserve with the 8 Y.O. statement on the back of the bottle, is that done too? Thanks Barton, your stuff use to be a great go-to for me.

Sazerac is probably using all the Barton whiskey for their breakout product/hit of the year Fireball Cinnamon whiskey.

I figured it would be for the new honey-melon flavored whisky liqueur.

I checked a current 1792 while at the liquor store today and the age statement is indeed gone.

Makes me sorta wish it hadn't been there in the first place.

This must have been pretty recent. I am still seeing the age stated bottles everywhere I have looked, even on what look to be freshly re-stocked shelves.

This one doesn't bother me as much, because the age statement on the bottle seemed already seemed temporary. Its not on the front of the bottle at all, just the stick on label on the back. I'm not overly confident, but this seems like one that might actually benefit from a little younger juice.

I just came home from my favorite liquor store, and they had AS and NAS 1792. I bought one of the 8s... does that count as a dusty?
