    Hello From Mass

I'm a "recent" (1 1/2 years) convert to Bourbons and Ryes. Yes, I'm one of the sheep that's partially responsible for all the price increases and shortages . Living in Mass can be rough sometimes as an American Whiskey lover, but luckily there are shops near where I live (Wyman's in Leominster) and work (Julio's in Westborough) that tend to have good or great selections most of the time.

Some of my favorites to date:

    Buffalo Trace
    Eagle Rare 10
    Elmer T. Lee
    Jefferson's Rye
Old Weller 107 (Just tried a couple weeks ago and I'm blown away by the value. Added about 15% water after the initial tasting - OOCHIES!)
Van Winkle Lot B (2 bottlings so far)
Four Roses SB (Just tried last week and was pleasantly surprised. I'm a BT guy so wasn't expecting to like this so much)
    Blanton's
    Single Oak Project (Barrel 74)
    Breckenridge
    Whistlepig

On my short list to try for various reasons:

    Ancient Age 10
    Benchmark
    Evan Williams
    Hancock's Presidential Reserve
    Old Charter
Rock Hill Farms (Used to see this around all the time but passed on it. Now I can't find it anywhere.)
    Very Old Barton
    White Dog

Welcome aboard, upStomp! Nice to see another local - Julio's has some great store selections as well; Ryan does a great job there.

Welcome from Georgia! I used to think of myself as a "BT guy" as well, but have come to find that there is something from all of the big boys I enjoy. And the only way to really find out is to taste it
