    No prob Doug.

There isn't anything at all wrong with a bunker. Hopefully it won't take you as long as it has some of us here to really figure out what you like. I know it took me a while. On the bright side, I at least learned a helluva lot along the way.

    Cheers! Joe

Ive figured a lot of it out already, even though a lot of it is at odds with the majority opinions on here. I never really wanted to bunker stuff, but with things constantly going out of production, changing, or shelves being empty, I now see the allure. Ill grab a few more tomorrow. I think the LB's in Louisville must have split a barrel among themselves, and only one of them has any left.

One drunken nighf I wrote an email to buffalo trace, in hindsight it was probably bordering on the absurd, the response was very quick, very polite and proffesional, I felt all warm and fuzzy if not somewhat silly at the same time.

George Dickel is Diageo's red-headed stepchild. I never have understood why they bought the brand, and then let it languish. They have access to the top marketing powerhouse in the world, and yet, somehow, GD's website remained frozen in the late 1990s until recently. It even used to state that the product wasn't available outside the US, supposedly because they couldn't make enough of it.

Then when the not-distilled-by-them rye came out, they updated their website, but with what seems the bare minimum of effort. A shame.

For those who have tried the 9 year old limited edition, what did you think and what did you pay? I have some sitting at my local for $49.99 a bottle. Considering pulling the trigger.

Peggy: Look Al, the rubes think I'm sexy!
Al: So would I if I had whiskey for breakfast.

Wives don't value quotes unless they are the one quoting.

Theyre $46 here, only at one large chain store, and nearly gone already. To me, It's my favorite whiskey. Smoky, sweet, and a flavor aftertaste that never seems to end. Its definitely related to Dickel 12 in profile, so if you like D12, yould likely love the 9 year.

mind if I ask where you are? Im interested to see where the distribution of this stuff went.

    Doug,

I am in North Central Minnesota. I might save up and give it a try. There is a pretty good supply in one store close to me. I am a little shellshocked by my WT Forgiven experience of paying $50 for $30 worth of booze so I am thinking on it. It will probably happen some payday when I feel a little flush for a brief second.
