    Bourbon Bars in Knoxville?

A co- worker and I will be in Knoxville Super Bowl Sunday. Any recommendations from the good folks on here? Thanks.

Try the Stock & Barrel. It's in Market Square downtown. Here is a website link: http://www.thestockandbarrel.com/

The largest selection of bourbon will be down town market square at the stock and barrel. They have good burgers as well. thestockandbarrel.com. There is a wine bar beside "Bistro by the Tracks" that has a few good bottles. I drank son of bourye there a few weeks ago. Most of the others will be JD, JB, and MM as the premium. Might be better to pick up a few bottles at McScrooges. Not a lot of places catering to bourbon fans in Knoxville. Baker Peters Jazz Club has closed. They did have a good selection of premium bourbons. I'm sure there are others that are slipping my mind. If I think of any others I will post back. tim

Hey Tim, I remember going to a Cigar place downtown that had a bar next door that was connected. Is that still there? I remember the bar having a pretty good selection.

It was in the old city section. I had been in the cigar part a few years back, but not the bar side. It may still be open. I'll try to google it and give them a call to check. tim

I called Old City Cigar (865-851-9526) and they are still open, but they said the bar with the good bourbon selection next door had closed. There is a speakeasy in the Oliver hotel near market square that you should avoid. Awful, overpriced drinks and food. Nothing even close to patterson house in Nashville. tim

Thanks for the info fellas. Looks like I will give Stock & Barrel a try. Maybe if there is time we can slip over to Nashville one night while we are there.

More like 3 for me. I'll be doing it again (going East bound, though) later this week...
