    Hello from Maryland

    Hello -
Longtime lurker here. Figured it was about time to get in on the action.

I reside in northern Baltimore County. My Bourbon habit started as a small fling about 6 or 7 years ago and slowly morphed into a full blown obsession. I try to soak up as much knowledge as I can and have found this forum to be a great resource. Heading to Kentucky in May and am really looking forward to it. Currently open bottles on my bar are:

    Willett FE 8 yr
    FRSiB Private OBSV
    FR125th
    WLW 13
    PVW 15
    Couple of OWAs
    McKenna BiB Private
    Makers 46
    Bernheim
    WT Rare Breed
    FRSmB
    Stagg Jr
    ETL

This list has been changing quite a bit lately and I blame it on the cold. Yep - definitely the cold. Thats my excuse and I'm sticking with it.
Anyway - Thanks for everything so far and I look forward to contributing.

Welcome to the forums, Slim! Glad to have you join the conversation.
What do you think of the Bernheim Wheat Whiskey? I find it pleasant, light, but a bit lacking in character.
I kinda wonder if a higher proof would improve it, or if that would just render 'more of the same in a smaller pour'?

Hello and welcome from another of the Michigan folk, glad you are here. You certainly have some nice pours to choose from.

    Best regards, Tony

I find your description to be spot on. A higher proof probably wouldn't hurt but I'm not sure it would add much either. This bottle has only been open a few days but I don't expect much to change. We'll see.

To everyone else - thanks for the kind welcome!
