Here's a warm welcome from the frozen South. One can spend hours here reading the old posts and learning quite a lot. It's an endlessly fascinating subject, bourbon is, and doesn't require special clothes or equipment - my kind of obsession.

Hey Jp ,welcome but you might need special clothing being in Alaska, of course it might be warmer there than here in COLD,COLD Wi.

Good Day and welcome from Michigan.

you have a beautiful state, curious how the bourbon selection might be?

Welcome to the board, Junkpile! Glad to have you join the forums.
I too, am curious how much (and which) Bourbons make it up to retail outlets in the great state of Alaska.
My wife and I took a tour there many years ago (Inside Passage, etc.) and found what we saw and learned endlessly fascinating; and exceptionally beautiful.

Weclome JP. This is also a hobby that doesn't require proof of insurance.

Welcome aboard! I love visiting your beautiful state (with a plethora of fabulous locally produced beers)!

    Re: Hello from Alaska

Thanks for the welcome. The beer supply here is pretty good. But not so much on the bourbon supply. I can find my main 3, but have never seen the bourbons that many write about on here. I'm hoping to get a chance to try them someday, though. I'm sure Anchorage has a bigger supply than we have down here on the Kenai, but I haven't had a chance to look recently.
