I think I might have to try that!

I find myself hooked on reading this forum. It gives me so many ideas for what to try.

cant tell yet if I save money by reading about whiskey or if I spend more...

Hate to say these, but beyond a doubt you are going to spend a lot more while reading on SB.com! Lol

But we will be able to help guide you to the better choices faster and avoid the not so stellar ones for you.

Bad ones can always be vatted into a mystery bottle. I have found that my mystery bottle keeps on getting better and better!

You should make a make label called "Death Star" and call that bottle your private reserve.

I think I have the elusive whiskeyrexia nervosa.

over 30 unopened bottles and all I can think about is acquiring more.
everything I buy, I plan to drink, but it's becoming ridiculous. .

    time for new whiskeyrexia thread?

Not ridiculous, oh no, just making proper provision for the future.

I hear you, Dannabis. My purchasing is far outstripping my consumption right now. I need to reign it in. I keep using the logic "I'll drink it eventually" but eventually is now years in the future. I know that sounds familiar to many, if not most, on this site.

I can relate. Several single bottles of Stagg, Handy, PVW that I have left unopened and placed deep in the bunker until I can acquire some more this year for comparison testing. Well at least that's what I've convinced myself of.

So, I thought I needed to replenish my 4RSmB - down to three bottles. When putting the new one in the trunk for the ride home, I found a bag with a 4RSmB AND a HMcK10yr. After reading the new posts here, I don't feel so bad. Also, I can now open one of the 4Rs.

    Thanks.

    Excellent trunk find Harry!

I try to convince myself that I shouldn't get so excited about bourbon since it's basicly just charred-oak-aged corn/grain distillate.
But yet my taste buds are not deterred by this rationalization. Some how the dollars just slip out of the wallet whenever I pass a liquor store with some whiskey selection..
