    New guy from Chicagoland!

Greetings! I've been lurking around PC for a few moths off and on, thought I'd finally poke my head out and say "hi"!

Got introduced to bourbons a few years ago at a grilling seminar, they had a guy from Makers Mark come in and do a bourbon tasting/food pairings. Kind of liked the KC, got a bottle that lasted me for a while, and sort of made that my fall ritual for a few years. I've branched out lately, wanting to try new options: Makers Mark, Bulleit, Evan Williams, and I'm currently sipping on my first Four Roses Single Barrel as I write this.

Love reading the different opinions and recommendations. Lots of knowledgeable folks here, appreciate all the advice I see all the time. Looking forward to hanging out here and learning from everyone!

Watch out for a guy named Ben, though. Sketchy fellow, that Ben.

You should also watch out for a guy named Justin. If he invites you over to his house for some pours just say no. You'll go over there and he'll make you drink scotch.

That seems to be the case! I feel like a babe in the woods here, but hoping I can pick up a tip or two from the experts!

Uh, sounds like I missed an earlier conversation? Don't want to start a scotch thing, bourbon is enough vices for me right now, thank-you-very-much. But is it okay if I invite THEM over to MY house?

Had a little taste last night (couldn't resist!). Wow! Gonna dig in for a solid pour tonight!

I will! I heard you're supposed to be buying for the new guys, right?

Thanks for for the welcome, gang!

Watch out for a guy named Brett, he invites everyone over to drink bourbon then takes his clothes off and goes swimming.
    Bourbon only requires a glass.
