Van winkle 12 OWA and Weller 12 and BT are on the top I'm having fun searching for them. I hesitated on a pappy 23 a month ago before I knew what I was getting myself into. Managed to get the 12 though.

Welcome Mike, don't limit yourself to the hard to find, there is excellent value and taste on the bottom shelves

Welcome. AND, I agree w/TT - some of those bottom and mid shelf offerings will surprise you. They are good for filling in when you just can't decide what you want to drink.

Welcome, Mike! Tiger is giving excellent advice here! Take it to heart. There are a gret many fine pours to had on the middle and even bottom shelves; and part of the fun is trying many, and finding the ones that hit the 'sweet spot' for you. If you're lucky enough to enjoy some of the bottom shelf options, you can enjoy this hobby for a whole lot less cheese.

Welcome aboard Mike! I'd go with the other advice here and try some bottles that you might not think to try. I know I ignored Ancient Ancient Age and the like for years, and made the false assumption that if it wasn't more than $20 - it couldn't possibly be good. Boy was I wrong. Hopefully you can find some friends with a fair variety that you can sample (or join us in Bardstown in April or September - great way to try a lot of stuff and meet some amazing folks!)
