    Jim Beam Single Barrel

Jim Beams Signature Craft series apparently will also include a Single Barrel that will be released in January. First time I have heard about it. It is good to see the Jim Beam name add a Single Barrel to the line-up.

Does anyone have any information on this? I can't find anything about it on the web.

Sounds good to me. I rather like the Signature Craft, though I'd call it overpriced. If this single barrel is barrel proof, then we'd really have something I think.

I'm guessing it will be 43% like the other two. Got to say, though, Knob Single Barrel is close enough to barrel proof to make me happy.
Life's too short, and there's too much good whiskey within reach.

I have to say; If JB wants to market something for enthusiasts, I'd stay away from JBSB at 86-pr. I mean, what's the point? ...Now, if it were to be cask strength...., but then you're competing with KCSB, so; again: Why Bother?

Because there's a dollar in it. Beam can do a one off novelty (Jacob's Well) and when the novelty wears off quietly discontinue it. They have enough stock on hand to make all sorts of stuff.

Again with the odd proofs, wonder how much money they spent on that focus group.

Well, it is an uncluttered label.
