Hypothetical- Will Four Roses ever make a wheater?

Take the opportunity to really know all 10 recipes, and explore the delicious small batch possibilities, and drink one of the great wheat recipe bourbons and straight ryes that already exist on the market. Those whiskies, like the Four Roses whiskey, have been refined and proven by their respective distilleries.
Was anyone really drinking straight rye in the 60's? Who's clamoring? I could count the number of wheaters READILY AVAILABLE on the market on one hand. It's just a fun, hypothetical question. I think some folks have gotten a bit over-serious about whiskey in general. After all, it's just whiskey. It's supposed to be fun.

Josh is lots of things... But he's definitely not over serious.

Weller did produce some rye way back when, as did Crow and others, but by the 60s only a few were making it and there was no clamor for it.

Yes, rye used to be much more popular as a mixer way back when. At least in my Mother's social circles. If I ever mention bourbon to her she says "what about rye?"
I've never tried GTS with any sort of soda. Maybe I'm missing out; but I'm OK with that.

Although 50 years ago saying "rye" might just as likely have been referring to a Canadian whiskey.
That yella whiskey runnin' down my throat like honey dew vine water and I took another slash…

If they put out a wheater I will try it for sure. Until then I will try everything they make that I can find.
