Thanks for the tip, Bobby. I think they did a first class job with it, don't you?

    Thanks for the link, Bobby!

I thought bourbon had to age for four years!? Their website says: "Bourbon must be aged for a minimum of two years..."

I went over to Lotus today for a little while. She wrote it down so I figured I'd get it on the forum. Yes I think it's real nice.

OCO, Bourbon must be aged for at least 2 years, but if it is less than 4 an age statment must appear on the label.

I had a bottle of Old Crow a few years back that stated "aged 3 years" on the label.

    Re: Four Roses Website

The web site is very well done. The history section does not, however, give all the chronology of Four Roses. Four Roses was founded by R M Rose in Atlanta in the late 1800's. The original distillery was located on what is now a street of million dollar homes in an upscale neighborhood. The street is called Stillhouse Road and is located behind Cumberland Mall. The Rose mansion still stands on Peachtree St in midtown Atlanta, an example of 1890's architecture, and houses an architectural preservation organization. Rose had four daughters, he called them his four roses. The distillery was moved from Georgia in the 1910's when Georgia passed statewide prohibition.

    Re: Four Roses Website

The Four Roses website is correct. The two years requirement applies to all straight whiskey, which includes bourbon.

I had a bottle of Ancient Age that said "aged 36 months."
