It's interesting that the last five "free promotional offers" I've signed up for have been no-shows when it comes to receiving the merchandise.

On a hunch, I applied for the last three using an assumed name. Still no merchandise, but Lamont Cranston has been receiving quite a bit of junk mail at my home in the last few months. So I am left to wonder; did these people have any intention of sending some free widget, or do they simply prey on the allure of a "freebie" to harvest marketing information?

Damn ... that can't be legal; but how could you possibly prove intent in one of these cases?

I received an e-mail from BF the other day expressing their regret that they would be unable to fullfil their promise to send me the glass . I guess the attorney's bill came in before they paid the glass maker
