I tend to drink it neat in cooler weather and on the rocks during warm weather. A little ginger ale or coke with lemon and lime goes nice in the summer by the poolside.

I drink it any way I can!
The higher proofs (Stagg, Bookers...) with about 1/4 filtered water. I typically drink neat or with one cube, depending on the mood. Sometimes when I'm feeling really rowdy, I'll just drink it straight out of the bottle.![]()

Usually, sitting; occasionally, bellied up to the bar; rarely, prone.
It depends on the surroundings and the occasion. At a quiet evening get together inside - on the rocks, outside at a party or where there's a lot going on and I'm not likely to "monitor" my intake as closely - mixed in a quart cup with coke. The bigger the cup the slower I tend to drink, keeping me at a comfortable level for the long haul. Just a trick that works for me.![]()
I almost always drink my bourbon neat with a few drops of water in a Reidel bourbon glass.
I will also use other whisk(e)y glasses (Reidel SMS, Blender's, etc.) I only use a snifter at bars that don't have my preferred glassware.
I use more water, a splash with many barrel proof bourbons.
I only use ice (sometimes) with Canadian whisky.
