WHISKY Magazine, for which I write, has a weird publication schedule in that a new issue comes out in the UK about two weeks before it appears here. The website (www.whiskymag.com) is featuring issue no. 44 now and has excerpts of the stories, but I haven't physically gotten a copy yet.

In his editor's note, editor Dominic Roskrow commemorates Booker Noe, talks about this year's bourbon festival, and makes this statement about "making new friends" there:

For me it was the crowd from Straightbourbon.com, who communicate with each other about great bourbon all year and then meet in Bardstown with their favourite bottles and party. Hard.
