So , if I may ask.... What are people planning to do with their bottle??? Drink it? Save it?? Plan to resell it???
I love the looks of this bottle!
Cheers,

I plan on saving it. I might drink it at some future date. But I really don't think I really want to open such a limited edition, historical bottle such as this. Only 225 bottles! I would never resell it! It's like the NASCAR diecast cars I buy. I buy them for the enjoyment of collecting and looking at them. If I resold the Bardstown bottle I'd just have a pile of money. Not a unique collectible, numbered bottle of good bourbon.
I didn't really expect anyone here to be getting one just to resell. But, I'm not much into keeping a perfectly good bottle of Bourbon just sitting around eitherIf I resold the Bardstown bottle I'd just have a pile of money. Not a unique collectible, numbered bottle of good bourbon.

I expect I'm in the same camp. Eventually, I'll drink it. Maybe for something I love to celebrate like our anniversary.... Until then, it will adorn my living room (and after it's empty as well, of course).
Cheers,
Ken
Ken, I had the same idea when I got a bottle of Wild Turkey Tribute. I didn't plan on opening that. But, then, I had to taste it! I'll probably find a reason to open the Bardstown bottle, too. It's the bottle that's seen on the shelf anyway. Not the bourbon inside.

There's really very little unique about the bourbon. You can buy the bourbon at the distillery and in many retail outlets, anytime. This one is really about the event and limited quantity. I mean, Dixie Hibbs signature, that's pretty rare.
What other HH products are readily availble in US that are 18.75 YO? Elijah Craig is a SB 18YO, but I doubt this taste like EC.There's really very little unique about the bourbon. You can buy the bourbon at the distillery and in many retail outlets, anytime.
Understood. Fortunately I haven't had that issue with my bottle of Rare Breed. Jimmy Russell signed it a few years ago.... No real reason to open that particular bottle, I just get new onesKen, I had the same idea when I got a bottle of Wild Turkey Tribute. I didn't plan on opening that.
