I just picked up a bottle of this-- it's called Origine Bourbon. I've never seen it before (did a search on this site and couldn't find any mentin of it), anybody know anything about this new guy on the block?

If you're planning to buy a bottle.....I'd say.....wave off!
The master distiller listed on the label for Origine is Kurt Lorenzi. I researched this awhile ago, but he was a wine maker for Jepson Vinyards. They also distilled brandy. Mr. Lorenzi left Jepson in 1998. I could never trace where he was employed after that.....however, he continues to live in California.
