Well Cam,
For me, it would have to be a bottle of the 17 year old Eagle Rare or a bottle of 12 year old WT.

Sorry Cam I missed the current bit on your Question, obviously WT 17 does not qualify.Without a doubt it would have to be WT 17 yr old.
So if anyone has one to trade or sell, send me a PM PLEEEEEEEASE
Now you have made me think a little bit harder, probably Van Winkle 15yr old Family Reserve , which I am yet to pick up .
Very Old Barton. Always was, is and always shall be, I´m afraid. What 'current' bourbon is on your 'want' list?
Probably Eagle Rare SB which was made available in Sueeeden som six months ago. I have refrained from investing thus far, mainly due to the, even with socialist fascist Swedish standards, outrageously high prices for BT products over here.what is your next purchase likely to be?

They should take a leaf out of HH:s book, IMHO.
At the top of the list is Old Forester 101 proof. I thought that I wouldn't be able to find that as I have only ever seen the 86 proof, but I did see it at one of the discounts the other day so I will be able to taste it along with everyone else.
The same shop has a Blanton's silver that is calling me with it's sweet siren voice. A little pricy at just under fifty bucks. Worth it, mind you, it is just that I have been spending too much lately. Plus, I would like to get another Gold and am waiting till I see one at around that price. It might be worth a hundred plus, but not when you have already spent your budget. Wait, I just checked bourbon site and the Gold Label is $45 US and the Straight from the barrel is $51.
I am dying to try more Van Winkle expressions. I have only had the Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year old 90 proof. One of their Ryes would be great.
Olde St. Nick has a summer rye and a winter rye, pricy though. I will get one someday.
Eagle Rare 17.
Sazerac 17.
I saw Very Old Barton the other day for the first time, but did not get it. I will have to go back there before it is gone.
WT RR 101 before it disappears.
The list goes on and on...
Ed
Any VW Rye that I see again, I'll buy.
WT12, which I did see once on a visit to Detroit but had already spent my whiskey budget by then.
Sazerac 18.
ER 17.
Stagg 02 or 03.
Old Potrero.
At the top of my shopping list is Old Forester BIB, for the BOTM Club!
Other generally available stuff I don't have but want to get includes:
1792 Ridgemont Reserve. I hadn't really worried about getting it because I have a bottle of VOB as my Barton example, but I tried the Ridgemont at a pre-Whiskeyfest event at Binny's, and I really liked it. So it's up there on the list of things to buy. Speaking of Barton, if I could find it, I would love to get a bottle of Fleischmann's Rye, but it's not sold around here.
Baker's--the last of the "small batch collection" that I don't have.
Beam's Choice--the only standard Beam expression I haven't tried.
Old Pogue, which only recently showed up on the shelves here. I had a taste poured for me at Whiskeyfest by the Pogues themselves, and it was also quite nice.
My current bottle of Jack Daniel's is just about gone (the last of the 90-proof black label), and when it goes I'm planning to try the green label version. I also wouldn't mind adding some Gentleman Jack and JD Single Barrel to the collection.
And, I'm going to pick up a few bottles of Russell's Reserve 101, while it's still on the shelves. I haven't noticed any shortage, but sooner or later these will be gone.
Probably the two I would most like to find are Rock Hill Farms and Elmer T. Lee.
But there are, of course, lots of bottlings I would love to get hold of. Those are just the two that I specifically wish I had.
Oh, another would be Wild Turkey 12-year old.
Tim
The Russell's Reserve 101, Eagle Rare 101, before they disappear. Old Charter 10yr is another that I enjoy and currently do not have in stock.
I hadn't heard that Eagle Rare 101 was due to disappear. Have I missed something?
Ed
My supplier in Maryland has told me of its unavailability.I hadn't heard that Eagle Rare 101 was due to disappear
I imagine that once the single barrel is fully distributed nationwide, then we will no longer have the 101.
Is it still widely available elsewhere?
